Further to the outages earler this week we have been advised by BT that the issue has been identified as
faulty BT maintained equipment on one of the interconnect nodes.

As a result emergency work to replace the affected system card will be performed between 04/12/2009 00:01 and 04/12/2009 06:00 during this period users connected to this node may experience up to 60 minutes downtime.

End users may experience stale sessions after the work has complete, if your are unable to connect after the resolve time please power down your ADSL equipment for 25 minutes before contacting support.

We have identified a potential problem with some end users sending mail through one of our mail servers. Our engineers have identified the cause of the issue and are implementing a solution. Access to the mail server may be intermittent during the work.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

Update: Engineers are currently looking into this issue, We have noticed that it will be affecting some users sending and receiving through our mail server. Unfortunately we cannot advise an ETA at this moment. Engineers are working on restoring the service as soon as possible.

Update: Full service should now be restored to the mail servers. If you are still experiencing issues sending or receiving mail please contact the support helpdesk through the usual channels.

Update:  The fault has been resolved an normal service has now resumed.
